Our amazing Pharmacy Team dispenses approximately 6,200,000 individualized patient doses per year, as well as 170,000 retail/mail order prescriptions. Inpatient doses consist of unit dose oral products, small-volume and large-volume parenteral products, parenteral nutrition and chemotherapy.
The procurement, storage, prescribing/ordering, preparation and dispensing, and administration and monitoring of medication are done in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team of individuals caring for patients.
We provide medications that are safe, efficacious and value-added by maintaining a medication formulary in conjunction with the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee Operations Group.
Inpatient services consist of four locations, including the Women’s and Children’s Building and the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, in addition to outpatient services for retail prescriptions through onsite and mail order pharmacies.
We offer a PGY1 and PGY2 residency program.
We are continually ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a Best Hospital and is the #1 ranked employer in Delaware.
