ChristianaCare is hiring an Acute Services Administrative Coordinator for Surgical Services in Newark, DE.

You would be responsible for workflow, performance, and the overall operations for the Surgical Services Service Line.   You would also be responsible for providing high level administrative support and championing continuous optimization and performance improvement as it relates to daily surgery operations.

Responsbilities:   

  • Develops, coordinates and implements operational processes/workflows in collaboration with the Campus Based Medical Directors, Nursing leaders, and operational leadership.
  • Responsible for tracking and communicating campus and provider specific productivity and performance measures.
  • Partners with clinical leadership to share progress, celebrate success, address concerns, and develop plans for improvement when necessary.
  • Advances workflow process optimization by leading and championing continuous improvement projects to improve provider satisfaction within the practice for all aspects related to practice operations including scheduling, payroll, reimbursement, and administrative support.
  • Supports recruitment, onboarding, retention, and offboarding activities of providers; acts as liaison with physician support services to ensure that all licensing and credentialing tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Supports provider scheduling; monitors output to ensure related tasks (e.g., payroll, CME expense and tracking, licensure and credentialing, billing queries, delinquent charts, death certs, maintenance of supplies etc.) are being carried out as efficiently as possible and provides real time feedback as needed.
  • Ensures that appropriate hospital and insurance provider credentialing is completed and up to date for clinical caregivers; provides administrative support to all new providers during the credentialing process and acts as the liaison with the Medical Dental Staff Offices. 
  • Researches and completes special projects/assignments as required.
  • Provides daily problem solving of caregiver and provider concerns.
  • Captures, analyzes, and organizes data in MS Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint and creates customized reports Develops and maintains an open and effective line of communication within department as well as with other departments in the health system.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • One year in surgical operational environment experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
  • 5 years practice management experience accepted in lieu of degree.
