To provide administrative support for the Surgical Advanced Practice Clinician department.


Performs administrative support for the Surgical Advance Practice Clinicians

Performs all timekeeping functions according to Kronos payroll system and CCHS policies and procedures. 

Assumes responsibility for all Nursing Resource functions including tracking data from exception sheets, tracking of LOA, terminations and transfers and file management.

Coordinates daily staffing and provides accurate staffing sheets to Assistant Manager in a timely manner

Tracks and monitors employee use of PTO and FMLA and incidence of lateness and absence. Prepares reports and exports operational data regarding lateness, attendance, and FMLA tracking for the Administrative staff of the Christiana Operating Room.

Facilitates and reconciles purchase requisitions. 

Generates monthly billing report for services rendered by Surgical APC department.

Manages distribution of billing reports to physician offices regarding OR PA billing and submission of billing data to finance department.

Tracks education expenses for Surgical APC's and communicates with leadership of any discrepancies.

Maintains confidential employee files.

Performs computer skills needed with all types of software utilized in Perioperative services including Microsoft Office, Windows XP, HIS, PMM, Surginet, Kronos and Onestaff.

Effectively communicates with all levels within perioperative services and between other departments utilizing both written and verbal communication skills.


Works constructively with other members of the team and maintains an attitude of helpfulness, courtesy and cooperation towards others.

Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports to the appropriate personnel, in a timely fashion, any unsafe activities, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.”

Performs other related duties as required.


Completion of a business college program in Office Administration, Secretarial Science or a related field.

Secretarial/clerical experience with some CCHS experience preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.


Knowledge of CCHS timekeeping polices and procedures.

Knowledge of CCHS policies that pertain to personnel and payroll issues.

Knowledge of Cerner scheduling and build tools.

Knowledge of appropriate chain of command.

Knowledge of CCHS Core Values and departmental policies and procedures.

Knowledge, skills and abilities to use Microsoft Office, Kronos, Onestaff and Windows.

Ability to effectively communicate utilizing positive verbal and written skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to maintain organized work area.

Ability to work independently within established guidelines and complete assignments with minimal supervision.

Ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives and chose appropriate course of action.

Ability to work under stress, remaining calm, pleasant and efficient.

Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet requires deadlines.
