Provide all facets of executive level support to Chief Digital / Information Officer (CDIO). 

Under CDIO / SVP leadership, plan, manage, coordinate, and delegate, when necessary, all aspects of the IT Administrative Services support team.  Oversee the day-to-day function of the administrative team creating an environment of trust, open communication, and creative thinking. Develops the team to ensure they consistently deliver the needed performance.  Collaborates with the IT leadership team to address opportunities to enhance support.  Strong focus to develop and ensure a high quality, service-oriented administrative team. 

Position requires a strategic thinker and leader who has the ability to function effectively in a rapidly growing and changing environment.   This position is the communication link between the frontlines and the CDIO's office. This position is empowered to make key decisions impacting areas of responsibility. 


  • Provides direct supervision to IT Administrative Services Team. Supervision of caregivers includes, but is not limited to, evaluating workloads, delegating assignments, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and recruiting qualified caregivers.  Assures appropriate coverage and evaluates systems to increase productivity and effectiveness.
  • Assists the Chief Digital / Information Officer (CDIO) with, but not limited to, scheduling, travel, expense reconciliation, communication, and meeting/presentation preparation.
  • Performs special projects for staff efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Assists with the creation of annual budgets and provides monitoring, tracking and reconciliation of Capital and Expense budgets as requested.
  • Assists with the creation and/or distribution of project management and service level monitoring reports and other tracking mechanisms as requested.
  • Ensures staff and process development within assigned areas.  Develops performance metrics and service levels consistent with CCHS policy and IT management needs.
  • Identifies opportunities for IT efficiencies in assigned areas.  Prepares and presents such opportunities to the CDIO.  Ensures proper communication and teamwork between IT leadership, administrative assistants and the CDIO office.
  • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.  Reports to CIO, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
  • Performs other related duties as required.


  • Daily contact with members of the IT Team.
  • Frequent contact and interaction with all levels of ChristianaCare caregivers.
  • Occasional contact with external resources, including vendors and members of the executive board committees.


  • Minimum five years of experience supporting executive leadership required. Experience supporting C-level leadership preferred.
  • Experience working with Board committees, including BoardEffect, highly desired.
  • Associates Degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, or related field.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.


  • Ability to create and manage a project-specific budget

  • Ability to manage staff and hold staff accountable to performance expectations
  • Ability to assume responsibility and to work flexible hours on an as needed basis.
  • Ability to identify key elements of an assignment, anticipate potential problems and take steps to avoid them.
  • Ability to network with other healthcare, technology and program/project management individuals and organizations.
  • Ability to translate business problems into practical information system alternatives.

  • Skill in written and verbal communication.
