ChristianaCare is recruiting for an Analyst for the Pharmacy 340B program. As the Analyst, you will manage data analytics for the 340B program and provide reports, recommendations, and analysis. This position is integral to the ChristianaCare pharmacy supply chains and our requirement to comply with regulatory guidance from the Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA), the federal agency responsible for oversite of the 340B program.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the 340B program
  • Become proficient with the reporting tools in the pharmacy split billing software and be able to provide data to pharmacy leaders and ChristianaCare Senior Leadership upon request
  • Provide quarterly reports to pharmacy management reflecting utilization patterns, historical cost savings, and additional cost savings opportunities
  • Monitor the purchases and replenishment of medications through the 340B account and the pharmacy WAC account to ensure that there is no diversion of drug product
  • Work in conjunction with the 340B Coordinator to ensure that the pharmacy split billing software is updated and accumulating appropriately
  • Perform annual inventory of 340B purchased agents to ensure satisfaction of HRSA requirements
  • Monitor quarterly price changes to ensure that ChristianaCare purchases the most inexpensive drugs available on the market
  • Maintain system databases to reflect changes in the drug formulary or product specifications
  • Monitor ordering processes, integrating most current pricing from wholesaler, and analyze invoices, shipping, and inventory processes
  • Continuously monitor 340B wholesaler account and make purchasing recommendations to allow the pharmacy to take advantage of savings opportunities
  • Work in coordination with floor stock staff and auditors to cycle count inventory of all 340B procured medications on a monthly basis
  • Manage max and par levels to effectively balance product availability and cost-efficient inventory control

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Finance, Business, Accounting, or other healthcare related field
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Previous experience with managing data and performing data analytics required
  • Experience in hospital or retail pharmacy is preferred
  • Previous 340B analytic experience highly desired
  • Ability to analyze data and identify issues, trends, and exceptions
  • Experience with solving complex business issues and recommending solutions
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform complex financial duties
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn all aspects of 340 B program administration as established by HRSA
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws governing pharmacy practice in a 340 B environment

This position may require some travel to conferences, meetings, or other facilities that have a 340B program.
