ChristianaCare has exciting opportunities for two experienced primary care physicians looking to grow their clinical leadership careers.  The newly created Assistant Clinical Director positions will work in the Complex and Community Care Division in primary care overseeing providers who work with special needs and underserved patient populations. The practices are located in and around Wilmington, DE approximately 45 minutes south of Philadelphia. They include:

Center for Special Needs

Center for Hope and Healing

Center for Latino Health

School Based Health Centers

Juvenile Corrections

Gender Wellness

Teen Warehouse

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight in 4-5 primary care practices to ensure achievement of goals related to quality, access, patient experience and financial metrics. 
  • Recruit, mentor and engage providers to create a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Collaborate with leaders within primary care and the Medical Group of ChristianaCare to share best practices and achieve consistencies in patient experience and outcomes.
  • Partner with community healthcare providers and other entities for program development and expansion.
  • Initiate and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Promote and support medical education in the practices.

Position qualifications:

  • Board certified Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Med Peds
  • Minimum three years clinical work experience, preferably in a large healthcare system.
  • Healthcare leadership experience required.
