ChristianaCare is currently seeking an Assistant Manager for the Vascular Interventional Radiology department.  In this position you will be responsible and accountable for daily operations and staff functions on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager.  Other responsibilities to include: 

  • Assumes 24 hour accountability for operations on patient care unit in coordination with Nurse Manager

  • Plans and organizes operations in conjunction with the Nurse Manager to achieve cost effective efficient use of human, material, and financial resources

  • Builds credibility with physicians and other professional disciplines as a champion for patient care, quality and nursing professionalism

  • Performs ongoing performance assessment of staff, monitors adherence to departmental procedures and   standards, completes personnel actions such as recognition, coaching and discipline, and participates in   decision making related to human resource activities in conjunction with the Nurse Manager.

Requirements:  Graduate of accredited school of Nursing, Radiology Technologist, or Cardiovascular Technologist.  Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare related field required.  Three to five years interventional experience required.  Current RN/RT licensure in the state of Delaware.  Current BCLS and ACLS certification.  Specialty certification.
