We are seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for our Ortho Neuro Trauma (2C) located at our Newark Campus. The 2C Ortho Neuro Trauma unit patient population is very diverse and has a wide range of individual and special needs, encompassing patients with multiple and complex fractures and traumatic brain injuries, usually as a result of a traumatic episode. Are you ready to join and lead this elite team of nurses? The Ortho Neuro Trauma unit is a 35 bed semi-private and private room unit. There is a gym located for physical therapy directly on the unit. The patient population is an adult population.

Responsibilities:

Assessing staff competency/performance review.

Participating in human resource management.

Supervising staff and scheduling staff on both units.

Assisting with preparation of annual budget and maintaining fiscal accountability.

Developing and maintaining patient, employee, and physician satisfaction initiatives.

Maintaining compliance with regulatory agency standards.

Developing and implementing performance improvement initiatives.

Supporting shared decision making and serving as a leadership liaison on unit-based councils.

Requirements:

  • BSN or Master's Degree in Nursing required. Master's required within 5 years.
  • RN required. Acute Care experience preferred.
  • 5 years appropriate clinical and leadership experience.
  • Related Specialty Certification Required
