Child and Adolescent Therapist (Autism Program) - Newark, DE

The Child and Adolescent team is looking for a Clinical Therapist with experience working with the Child and Adolescent/Autism population. Clinician will support children; adolescents and their families engage in therapeutic environment.  Clinician will join a multi-disciplinary team of Child psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and case managers. They will be responsible for assessments, treatment planning, therapeutic services, and interventions, while supporting a diverse population.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position will provide office based clinical assessment and mental health therapy services for a diverse caseload of child and adolescent patients. LCSW or LPCMH required. This position is a hybrid remote/virtual and in person role.

Whether a position can be supported for remote work will be assessed based on whether ChristianaCare is able to meet the business requirements of the proposed remote location.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Conducts individual psychotherapy with assigned patients and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.

  • Conducts psychosocial evaluations to provide diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.

  • Develops coordinated treatment plan in collaboration with other members of the treatment team.

  • Reports and updates pertinent patient information to physician and treatment team in a timely manner.

  • Identifies milieu deficits and assists in implementing appropriate measures to meet needs.

  • Tracks referrals of patients requesting services.

  • Ongoing coordination of care with medical providers and psychiatric providers inside and outside the ChristianaCare.

  • Completes clinical documentation in a concise, accurate, and timely manner with proper use of technology.

  • Participates in all assigned programs and attends all continuing education opportunities to meet job requirements and maintain current knowledge of the practice of psychotherapy and social work.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or LCSW preferred

LMSW may be considered with requirements to obtain LCSW within 1-year and/or LPCMH for specific populations

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in mental health setting preferred
