As a member of our Managed Care Contracting team you will conduct contract management and payor communication distribution activities, handle current and prospective contract agreements, partner with revenue cycle teams, etc.

The successful candidate is responsible for:

  • Facilitating the development and expansion of ChristianaCare organizational relationships with respective and applicable payor partners.
  • Participate in third-party payor meetings, encourage relationship building, assist internal matrix partners in barrier removal and partnership.
  • Provide contracting and management/distribution of single case agreements.
  • Collaborates within the department regarding documentation, project management and opportunity identification for FFS revenue improvements, service line expansions, etc.

Education and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred in Finance, Economics, Healthcare or Business related.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of payer-based and/or provider-based reimbursement and relationship experience through managed care reimbursement and payer/provider relationship experience.
  • Understanding of provider contracting, payer policies and procedures and various reimbursement methodologies is required.
  • Familiarity with Hospital, physician, ancillary and other revenue cycle types of reimbursement.
