ChristianaCare is seeking a full-time, experienced community or academic Dentist or Prosthodontist with a strong background in restorative dentistry, including implant prosthodontics. The candidate should also have experience in hospital dentistry, including treating patients in the operating room (OR). The candidate should have experience teaching on the graduate level and should be able to continue the development of the didactic and clinical programs, particularly in the areas of restorative dentistry and implant prosthodontics.

ChristianaCare offers a fully accredited General Practice Dentistry residency program (eight trainees per year), which is at the forefront of the specialty in education, implantology, special needs and hospital-based care.  Further, it is unique because it has a very robust dental implant prosthetic program, as well as all areas of restorative and specialty dentistry. In addition, the residents work closely with the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.  Our dental residents consult in many areas of the hospital including oncology, cardiology, orthopedics and nephrology as well as treating medically and cognitively compromised patients in the clinic as well as in the OR.  The Program has a didactic program which complements the residents' clinical exposure. Also, there are more than ninety volunteer attending dentists on staff who teach and help in the clinic, as well as lending didactic support and expertise.

ChristianaCare is a regional referral center for Delaware and surrounding states, as well as a major provider of primary medical and dental care. In addition to the General Practice Dentistry residency, the Department also offers a fully accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited US or Canadian Dental School with a DMD or DDS degree and have completed an accredited US or Canadian General Practice Dentistry residency program or advanced specialty residency education program.  Advanced implant education/experience, research experience, and advanced education (MPH, MBA) are a plus.
