ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced Education Program Manager for the Gene Editing Institute to manage the day-to-day operations of GEI's Education Group and to support its advancement through strategic planning and innovation. In addition, you will conduct laboratory-based experimentation; envision the future of education and understand how GEI's offerings fit into the market and guide a small team to implement the platform.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science; master's degree or post-graduate certificate in a STEM field, education or business innovation preferred.

  • Experience in outreach and development of STEM education activities/programs is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and evolve the scientific educational platform;

  • Plan and execute group activities leading toward measurable outcomes

  • Communicate and conduct outreach from both the scientific and sales (program development) perspectives.

  • Assume the lead on strategy and growth in alignment with GEI and ChristianaCare vision, mission, and values.

  • Execute on strategy by creating annual and quarterly plans to proactively allocate time and resources. Manage weekly and monthly internal work group meetings to ensure smooth operations; anticipate needs of relationship partners and internal collaborators.

  • Communicate opportunities to GEI scientific colleagues and prepare them for success in presentations to external audiences, which may range from high school to university and graduate school levels.

  • Manage ideation sessions to further develop and evolve the Gene Editing 360 platform. Seek feedback from customers and make recommendations for improvement or new offerings.

  • Process details of grants and philanthropic gifts while also supporting acquisition of new financial resources in collaboration with the group leader.
