ChristianaCare is looking for a full-time Environmental Services Supervisor at our Christiana Hospital - Newark campus to direct and control the activities of personnel engaged in providing a clean, sanitary, and attractive hospital environment.
The primary schedule for this position is evening shift working 1:00PM-9:30PM - off hours as needed and includes working every other weekend with a holiday rotation.

Knowledge of departmental/hospital policies procedures.
Knowledge of supervisory principles and techniques.
Ability to supervise and direct subordinate personnel.
Ability to delegate work and responsibilities to subordinates and effectively evaluate their performance.
Ability to plan, organize, and implement policies and procedures.
Ability to identify/recommend improvements to workflow/systems that improve the quality of the Environmental Service function.
Ability to handle problems and resolve complaints.
Ability to establish and maintain positive interdepartmental working relationships.
Ability to maintain confidential information and materials.
Ability to exercise judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
Ability to think analytically to prepare reports, keep records, schedule/assign work.
Skill in oral and written, interpersonal communications.
Physical demands:
Prolonged standing and walking. Ability to lift and pull objects weighing up to and occasionally.
Exceeding 40 pounds.
Working conditions:
Possible exposure to infectious disease where special precautions are followed.
