To perform a variety of scheduled maintenance and service work maintaining various mechanical systems and equipment at the Avenue North, Concord, Foulk Rd., Riverside MAC, and any other northern facility. To support CCHS as well as tenants.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes scheduled maintenance on various building mechanical systems. Servicing work includes filter
replacement, cleaning of equipment components, vents and lubrications (motors, fans, etc.).
Maintains records of work completed.
Performs building maintenance tasks (i.e., hanging pictures, repairing and replacing ceiling tiles, cove base,
light bulbs and mounting signs).
Maintains an inventory of replacement parts and places orders as needed.
Makes minor adjustments to mechanical systems controls.
Maintains and cleans mechanical equipment rooms and workspaces.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports to
supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards or safety violations that may cause
injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other related duties as directed.
SCOPE, PURPOSE, AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS:
Frequent contact with Maintenance staff, vendors, contractors, patients, medical staff and visitors on a daily basis.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School graduate or equivalent
Five (5) years practical mechanic experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Skill in operating all tools required to make necessary adjustments and repairs to keep equipment operating correctly.
Skill in solving mechanical and analytical problems.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Ability to learn proper procedures for tasks assigned and adapt what has been learned to new circumstances.
Ability to cope with variations in assignments.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
Skill in using tools required to complete maintenance tasks (i.e., table saw, power hacksaw, drill press, sander) and drill).
