TITLE: Lead Staff Support
DEPT: Patient Financial Services Hospital Billing (cc: 10667)
LOCATION: Corporate Finance
Provide support of Soarian Financials for all Revenue Cycle staff and management by maintaining the Soarian Masterfiles.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoots Soarian Financials reported issues and works to resolve them with vendors, their team and management.
Provide and maintain Soarian Financial Master files.
Develop processes to improve billing teams' efficiencies by utilizing Soarian Financials fully.
Provide support to and training of staff for all systems; develops training materials as appropriate.
Delegates work and responsibilities to staff as needed to ensure operational needs are met.
Provides Manager with input on staff strengths/developmental needs.
Supports Manager in oversight of workflow, staff productivity and performance.
Accurately and efficiently performs assigned work, high level processes and other related duties as required.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other related duties as required.
SCOPE, PURPOSE, AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS:
Frequent engagement and cooperation with CCHS staff, including all billing teams, various Finance departments
DIRECTION/SUPERVISION OF OTHERS:
Support the Manager by providing training and monitoring the work of Staff Support and Frontline staff as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School graduate or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred
Five years' experience in hospital billing/collections, including 2 years' supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of Soarian Financials
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of hospital billing and third-party reimbursement policies and procedures
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, revenue, and ICD-10 codes
Microsoft Office and Web based knowledge/skill
Skill in written and oral communication
Ability to handle various complex tasks simultaneously
Ability to set and meet deadlines
Ability to act independently within guidelines
Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
Emotional stability to handle stress due to high volume of work.
Ability to interact effectively and exercise judgment and tact
Ability to handle conflict and maintain composure
Ability to provide quality customer service
Intermittent sitting, standing, and walking
Light lifting and moving
Manual dexterity to initiate calls and provide computer entry
Sight to dial numbers and read computer screens
