Night Shift (Hours: 7p - 7a) Weekends & Holidays per the department guidelines.

Christiana Care - Wilmington Hospital is looking to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our Medical Inpatient Care Continuum Unit on the 5th floor at Wilmington Hospital.
Responsibilities
As a medical nurse, you will engage in a relationship-based care model, building relationships with patients, families, and peers, guided by our values of love and excellence.
Use your expertise to assess a patient's physical and emotional status, past health history, health practices, and the patient's and the family's knowledge of the disease and its treatment.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes RN staff, Hospitalists, Case Managers, Pharmacists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Ancillary services to deliver safe, effective care to our community with positive outcomes.
Work expertly with other team members to achieve realistic healthcare goals for a patient and family. Plan your nursing care to promote healing and education to patients and their families with a patient-centered approach,
Monitor patients closely, handle emergencies, and provide ongoing encouraging care.
After treatment, you will help to transition patients to the appropriate level of care.

Education & Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
Eligible to be licensed in the State of Delaware.
1-2 years of experience as an LPN required.
BLS required.
Sign an LPN to RN Agreement upon hire (The agreement states that LPN must obtain an RN license and then a BSN degree within the defined time frame).
