If licensed as an RN or other healthcare professional - use experience and background to identify clinical and operational opportunities for improvement. Uses nursing knowledge base and theory to identify best practice models.
Partner with senior executives to translate concepts and / or strategies into effective operating models and business plans.
Partner with senior leaders to facilitate and lead mission, vision and aims development for system level projects, essential services departments and / or service lines.
Lead development and implementation of new clinical delivery, business and operating models that span the system.
Facilitate complex cross functional, cross department and system level teams to develop mission, vision, strategy goals and outcomes.
Develop strategic aims and deliver business transformation in areas such as process re-design, change management, cost reductions and technology enabled business change.
Lead projects and makes recommendations to senior executives that have direct and measurable impact on organizational strategy, long term goals and AOP.
Research innovative methodologies to address clinical and operational improvement projects. Supports the OE department in researching innovative methods, tools, practices, processes and systems. Assists the OE department and CCHS departmental leaders in designing comprehensive solutions that apply innovative approaches.
Supplies to development of standards of performance for the OE department, assists in evaluating performance, and conducts performance management planning. Maintains ongoing communication with peers to review programs, provide feedback, and discuss new developments and exchange information. Shares personal expertise with peers and seeks peers' expertise appropriately.
Assist in the development of OE department operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget. Identifies cost saving opportunities within department.
Graduate degree in healthcare related field, business or industrial engineering required.
Specific experience in health operations improvement, clinical redesign and indusial engineering and productivity management are essential. Some job responsibilities require advanced Action OI and Simulation software training.
Minimum of 10 years / 2 years as active LSS deployment leader. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Certified LSS black belt, Certified LSS Master Black Belt (DMAIC / DMADV) preferred.
