ChristianaCare's, new innovative Primary Care practice at Rehoboth Beach, DE is looking for a Full-Time Medical Assistant.
The Primary Care practice at Rehoboth offers a wide range of medical services for adult populations. In addition to traditional Primary Care services, the practice will offer functional assessments performed by a Physical Therapist, on-site behavioral health and nutrition services and much more!
This position is responsible for assisting providers in the examination and treatment of patients. To deliver quality patient care and to perform other clinical and clerical duties within the practice.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, no weekends, no late nights at this time.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Rooms patients to include taking and recording patient vitals.
Performs point of care testing, injections, and EKGs.
Assist providers with examinations/procedures.
Completes necessary patient-specific paperwork and screenings.
Handles prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills.
Schedules tests, procedures and surgeries.
Education Requirements:
High School Graduate or GED required.
A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Proof of a valid driver's license and active auto insurance is required.
