ChristianaCare is looking to hire a full time Talent Acquisition Manager

The Talent Acquisition Manager oversees the execution of full cycle recruitment of all non-provider position openings to meet the needs of the Medical Group (MG). Provides day to day direction and support to members of the MG Talent Acquisition Team. The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for linking talent acquisition initiatives for the Medical Group to core business strategies, implementing recruitment projects that achieve business line goals (i.e., population health). Develop and engage team, lead process improvement initiatives, budget development and adherence and the development and achievement of team annual operating goals. This position reports to the Director of Provider Recruitment and Talent Acquisition for the Medical Group.

This person will become part of the 14-person Medical Group (MG) Recruitment Team and manage the Non-Provider Ambulatory MG Recruitment Team of 5 seasoned recruitment and sourcing professionals.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree in human resources preferred. 
  • Minimum of two years people leadership experience required.
  • Five years recruiting experience in a high volume, complex multi-site organization required.
  • Proven experience in the development and implementation of talent acquisition initiatives required.


  • Manage members of the Medical Group Talent Acquisition Team including recruitment, development, engagement, and performance management. Assumes leadership accountability for (selection, orientation/training, performance review, coaching, etc.) of exempt and non-exempt staff.
  • Effectively evaluates, onboards, and orients talent acquisition caregivers to ensure compliance with all organizational policies, procedures and applicable state and federal employment laws.
  • Establishes team workloads and monitors performance to ensure the Medical Group has pipelines of qualified candidates to meet their staffing needs.
  • Serves as a resource person to Recruiters on policy interpretation as well as system and procedural issues required to ensure quality, timely customer service to hiring managers and candidates.
  • Provides direction to recruiters in implementation of effective sourcing plans, recruitment, quality selection practices and applicant tracking.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers across service lines to develop and execute against proactive recruitment strategies aimed at achieving a just in time quality hire.
  • Reviews, prioritizes, and problem solves regarding appropriate account distribution to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Partners with Integration implementation leaders, Medical Group operations leaders, HR project manager and HR onboarding team to ensure successful integration of new practices.
  • Works collaboratively with system stakeholders and HR centers of excellence to achieve workflow efficiencies, process improvements and effective communication. Collaborates across system promoting positive collaborative relationships with recruiting and other HR sections and as well as other health system stakeholders.
  • Assumes responsibility for limited full lifecycle leadership and other key recruits.
