ChristianaCare and The Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) in the Department OB/GYN is searching for a full time BC/BE fellowship trained MIGS surgeon to join a growing outpatient faculty practice.
As a member of our employed outpatient surgical practice, you will be part of a fully supported team comprised currently of three surgeons, an advanced GYN physician-assistant, and experienced nursing and office staff.
The successful candidate should excel at minimally invasive GYN procedures including laparoscopy and robotic-assisted surgery, hysteroscopy, and have interest in pelvic pain specifically. As part of the faculty, you will have educational opportunities including training of fellows, residents, and medical students. Research opportunities include intramural work as well as participation in industry-sponsored investigation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Provide gynecological-only medical and surgical services, with MIGS Division gynecologic on-call responsibilities. *No obstetrical duty requirements*
Precept fellows, residents, students and specified health care professionals, as appropriate, and contribute to the educational program for trainees in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Assist in practice management supporting the Medical Director & Clinical Leader of MIGS and Practice Supervisor.
Demonstrate academic curiosity through continued research, publications or contributions to education as directed by the Department Chair.
Work cooperatively with other members of the division and department in outreach programs.
Assist community partners in "seamless" care model coordinated with CCHS.
Position Qualifications
Post-graduate degree from an accredited medical institution
Completion of accredited OB/GYN-residency.
Successful completion of a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) fellowship.
Eligibility to receive unrestricted licenses in DE and PA.
Preference will be given to physicians who have demonstrated proficiency and scholarly achievement in an aligned area of women's health. Support to enhance such expertise will be prioritized.
