Are you a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an interest in Neurology? ChristianaCare is currently recruiting APC's to join our Acute Neurosciences Fellowship program! This 6-month program is ideal for candidates who are new to practice or have less than 2 years of Neurosciences and/or ICU specific experience and will prepare you for a wide range of positions within Acute Neurosciences.

The Acute Neurosciences division at ChristianaCare is a collaborative and inclusive team of APCs and physicians and is made up of 3 divisions: Inpatient Neurology (Consultative Neurology and Stroke Service), Neuro Interventional Surgery, and Neurocritical Care. The fellowship program will include a rotation in each of the 3 divisions of Acute Neurosciences with the goal of providing a well-rounded educational experience as well as exposure to a wide variety of patients experiencing both acute and chronic neurologic conditions.  Didactic lectures will be provided weekly by Neurologists from a variety of different subspecialties, including Neurologists, Neuro Intensivists, Neuro Interventionalists, and APCs from all 3 divisions and outpatient services.

The program also includes VEST center experience for training and competency development in procedures as well as many observational experiences for interventions, procedures, and specialized care.  Throughout the course of the program, the fellow will progress to independent management of patients and increase their proficiency and knowledge of patients requiring highly specialized Neurologic care.

The Acute Neurosciences APC Fellow will receive an annual salary of $78,000.  Fellows are considered full-time employees of ChristianaCare with full benefits, including healthcare, CME stipend and conference time. Fellows who successfully complete the program and demonstrate our core values and behaviors are welcome to apply for permanent employment as an APC in Acute Neurosciences with ChristianaCare after completing the program at a rate commensurate with their clinical experience.

This program allows for a supported transition into the role of a Neurosciences APC, and we hope you will consider joining ChristianaCare on this journey!  The Acute Neurosciences team is extremely excited about this opportunity and looks forward to welcoming you and sharing our expertise, love for education, and teamwork!
