ChristianaCare Brandywine Women's Health is looking for an Office Assistant.

ChristianaCare Brandywine Women's Health is located at 700 West Lea Blvd in Wilmington, Delaware. At ChristianaCare, women's health is our priority, and so is giving our patients the safest and most effective care when they need it using the best practices and technology available.

 

As an office assistant you are the first point of contact between the practice and our patients. You will be responsible for creating a friendly, welcoming calm and efficient environment for the practice. You will serve each patient with poise and compassion, fields phone calls, answers patient questions, schedules appointments, registers patients and updates EMR and represents the entire practice every time there is interaction with a patient. 

 

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
  • Currently, no weekends or holidays, however always subjected to change.

Job duties & responsibilities:

  • Schedules appointments.
  • Answers multi line telephones and retrieves accurate messages.
  • Manages front desktop.
  • Collects payments according to insurance requirements.
  • Applies ICD9 & CPT4 codes to encounter forms for billing purposes.
  • Performs outreach calls for the team.
  • Interacts between physicians, staff, and patients to provide accurate communication and customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and foster professional relationships in a team environment.
  • Performs other related duties as required.


Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Medical receptionist or medical assistant degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a medical office setting or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
