ChristianaCare's Medical Group is seeking a Full-Time Office Assistant to support our Project Recovery program at the Wilmington Hospital.

The Office Assistant is the first point of contact between the practice and the patient and is responsible for creating a friendly, welcoming calm and efficient environment for the practice. The Office Assistant will join a fantastic interdisciplinary treatment to provide administrative support for a diverse patient population undergoing recovery in substance use.

Work Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays: day shift.

  • No weekends/holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedules appointments with awareness of insurance, provider, and practice location

  • Greets and interacts with patients in a professional manner to collect required demographic and financial information. 

  • Processes/verifies referral information and eligibility for insurance reimbursement as needed. 

  • Answers all phone calls in a professional manner and relays accurate messages.

  • Collects payments according to insurance requirements.

  • Verify insurance coverage & coordinates referrals.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent

  • Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
