ChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Office Assistant for our Pulmonary Practice located at MAP I on the Newark, DE campus. This position will also rotate to our other practice in Wilmington, DE with occasional rotations to our Middletown practice as well.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, day shift, rotating between 7:30am-4:00pm and 8:00am-4:30pm
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedules appointments.
- Retrieving faxes and disseminating information to the appropriate person within the practice, requiring high attention to detail.
- Answers multi line telephones and retrieves accurate messages.
- Manages front desktop.
- Collects payments according to insurance requirements.
- Applies ICD9 & CPT4 codes to encounter forms for billing purposes.
- Performs outreach calls for the team.
- Interacts between physicians, staff, and patients to provide accurate communication and customer service.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and foster professional relationships in a team environment.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- Medical receptionist or medical assistant degree preferred but not required.
- Experience in a medical office setting or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
