ChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Office Assistant for our busy Pediatric Practice located on our Wilmington, DE campus.

Wilmington Pediatrics is part of the Wilmington Health Center and is staffed with physician residents, attending physicians and nurse practitioners.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, day shift with scheduled rotation to provide Tuesday evening (until 8:30PM) and Saturday morning (8:00AM-12:00PM) coverage.

Job duties & responsibilities:

  • Schedules appointments.
  • Answers multi line telephones and retrieves accurate messages.
  • Manages front desktop.
  • Collects payments according to insurance requirements.
  • Applies ICD9 & CPT4 codes to encounter forms for billing purposes.
  • Performs outreach calls for the team.
  • Interacts between physicians, staff, and patients to provide accurate communication and customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and foster professional relationships in a team environment.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Responsible for all aspects of patient check-in for scheduled appointments
  • Fax, scan, sort paperwork and other clerical/office related duties as assigned.
  • Utilize and transmit information through our Electronic Medical Records.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Medical receptionist or medical assistant degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a medical office setting or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
