ChristianaCare is searching for an exceptional primary care physician leader to assume clinical leadership for 22 Core primary care practices located in DE, MD and PA. This physician leader will report to the President of the Medical Group of ChristianaCare and the Chief Population Health Officer working in the Primary and Complex Care Division of the Medical Group. This physician leader needs to have a proven track record of leading ambulatory clinical teams who deliver high quality care, excellent patient experience and thrive financially under value-based contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership for Core primary care practices to ensure their success in panel size growth, access, quality and financials and drive value in risk arrangements as set forth by the Medical Group and Population Health.
  • Serve as a member of the Population Health Leadership Team to integrate efforts across populations to drive success in value based care for the Medical Group and Clinically Integrated Network.
  • Participate in strategic planning and the development of primary care growth strategies.
  • Lead initiatives to engage providers around utilization, access, quality, risk scoring, and other measures determined by the Medical Group and Population Health.
  • In partnership with operations leaders, lead data review, performance improvement, budget preparation and efforts to optimize clinical and financial performance in Core practices.
  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative and effective models of care delivery identified as system priorities focused on addressing health disparities and advancing health equity.
  • Lead efforts to recruit, train, lead and engage physician leaders, providers and multidisciplinary team members throughout the primary care Core practices.

Position Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctorate Degree: MD or DO required. Licensed or license eligible in Delaware.
  • MBA or Master's in Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Five years clinical work experience in an ambulatory practice required.
  • Ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience with a strong record of delivering results required.
