Christiana Hospital is currently recruiting for a Registered nurse to be trained to work in the PACU. This role requires an Orientation, that will be a 24-week. PACU Fellowship program that includes rotations in critical care units and critical care courses that will culminate in adequate preparation to function independently as a PACU RN. **This program Fellowship is only open to experienced nurses, who wish to work in the PACU. No new grads will be considered. **

Experienced Registered Nurse Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Fellowship - anticipated start date of December 11, 2023, for external candidates and December 24, 2023, for internal candidates.

Shift Requirements: Rotations of shifts - Day, Evening & Midnight Shift hours as required. Weekends, Holidays and On Call shifts - per the department guidelines.

Requirements:

  • BSN Preferred
  • Commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
  • Qualified applicants should have at least two years' experience of Med/Surg or Stepdown units.
  • Commitment to be flexible to large number of patients in the day due to level one trauma hospital.
  • BLS required
  • ACLS preferred - required to attain within in 6 months.
  • PALS preferred - required to attain within in 6 months.
  • TNCC preferred
