ChristianaCare is looking for a Full-Time Psychologist to join our dynamic and collaborative Behavioral Outpatient team in our Wilmington location.
To enhance and improve the quality of patient care at Christiana Care by providing assessment, treatment, consultation and educational services for individuals with problems related to emotional or mental health. Provides clinical support to the Behavioral Health Outpatient Practice. This is a hybrid position.
Whether a position can be supported for remote work will be assessed based on whether ChristianaCare is able to meet the business requirements of the proposed remote location.
Hours- Monday- Friday. No weekends, No On-Call.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides evidence-based individual, family, and group psychotherapy to patients in the Behavioral Health Outpatient service and maintains timely and appropriate documentation of the patient's clinical status and progress and treatment.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team (psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, nurses, care management, therapists, community-based services and supportive personnel) regarding treatment planning, therapeutic response, and discharge planning to facilitate transition throughout the continuum of care and progress in treatment.
Provides oversight and leadership to behavioral health outpatient therapists, including ensuring outpatient therapist adherence to care model.
Lead case consultation with multidisciplinary team, including outpatient therapists, case management and community health workers.
Work in collaboration with Medical Director of Behavioral Health Outpatient Practice and Director of Psychology Services to assign and triage cases as needed.
Participates in Behavioral Health performance improvement, quality assurance and other organizational activities.
Participates as a member of a team focused on the addressing and improving the mental health of the assigned patient population. Merging all aspects of health into a longitudinal, sustainable solution for health self-management.
Participates in departmental committees as needed and contributes to performance improvement indicators.
Participates in the creation and tracking of patient outcomes.
Provides educational information for patients and family members.
Provides formal and informal educational lectures and supervision to members of the staff, trainees, and students on the basic principles and treatment strategies of working with individuals with mental health difficulties.
Available for assessment of mental health issues, consultation and referral assistance throughout Behavioral Health and the system at large as assigned.
Able to effectively communicate and work constructively with the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain timely and appropriate documentation of the patient's clinical status and progress and treatment.
Able to deal effectively with both medically and psychiatrically ill patients who may exhibit physical and/or behavioral dysfunction.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology required.
Three to five years of experience in clinical psychology, working with individuals and groups.
Experience working with multidisciplinary treatment teams.
Previous supervisory and/or management experience preferred.
Delaware psychologist license or eligible for Delaware license.
Maintains ongoing/continuing education as required &/or as necessary to remain current with treatment methodology.
