Job Summary: Receives shipments from carriers.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

- Accurately and efficiently physically inspects each package received to verify quality, quantity, and exact match to the items ordered on the Purchase Order.

- Accurately enters data into Meditech computer system, or in the manual log to record packages without a Purchase Order. Maintains files for receiving records.

- Delivers supplies and equipment to customers in a timely manner.

- Will provide prompt and courteous service to all customers.

- Physically inspects all incoming deliveries of supplies or equipment to ensure that the products are not damaged, are of the proper quantities, and that the received item matches exactly the item ordered on the Purchase Order.

- Ensures customer satisfaction through timeliness of job completion.

- Effectively processes outgoing packages by ensuring that a return authorization has been obtained and included in the package and further ensures that the correct item is shipped to the appropriate vendor.

- Develops a better understanding of Meditech System which relates to the distribution function.

- Accurately prepares, processes, and files all documentation - completed daily.

- Accurately inputs all receipts, comments, instructions, or other transactions into Meditech system. Ensures accuracy when separating receipts for delivery to guarantee that the customer is delivered the product they ordered and received.

- Ensures all deliveries are completed in an efficient and orderly fashion, that time sensitive deliveries are prioritized, and that every delivery has a legible signature on file.

Education: High School Diploma Preferred

Licenses / Certifications: N/A

Experience: 1 year of working in a high volume receiving environment is required. 1 year working with patient care supplies and equipment is preferred.

Work Schedule: Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays, as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

- Frequent use of hands and fingers (e.g. use of a computer keyboard, equipment, etc.)

- Occasional sitting for long periods of time.

- Frequent walking, lifting, pushing, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.

Performance Requirements:

- Ability to

o Perform work with attention to detail within specified times.

o Work cooperatively with internal and external customers.

o Handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.

o Set priorities and solve problems. Fosters a team environment by providing orientation to new team members.

o Communicate effectively (verbal and written).

- Computer literacy is required.

Occupational Hazards: Risk Exposure Category B - No possibility of an exposure to blood/bloody body fluids in the performance of this job.

Potential to be exposed to hazardous materials such as toner and laser printer cartridges.
