ChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to work as a Diabetes Educator at our Springside office.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS:

In this role, you will manage diabetes patients according to Diabetes Disease Management Protocols, provide diabetes education and coordination of services, and work in collaboration with all physician, nurse practitioner, nursing, and ancillary staff of the Endocrinology specialty practice.  You will also coordinate and provide diabetes education and care of gestational diabetic patients for the practice.  In this role, you will provide patient education specific to the American Diabetes Association guidelines and/or recommendations, participate in updating and maintaining related educational materials for the Christiana Care Endocrinology Living with Diabetes program, and ensure compliance with the ADA recommendations for educational programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A registered dietitian, eligible for certification in Delaware with a Masters degree in Nutrition or a closely related field, and a minimum of 3 years experience in nutrition outreach, counseling and group education related to chronic diseases; OR
  • A registered dietitian, eligible for certification in Delaware with at least 5 years experience in nutrition outreach, counseling and group education related to chronic diseases.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
