We are currently hiring experience Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Heart Failure Unit at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE

The Unit

The Heart Failure unit at Christiana Hospital is a 36 bed unit.  There are 12 beds for post op open heart patients.  These patients are stepdown level of care, some with chest tubes/drains, large bore central line catheters, and external cardiac pacing wires.  These patients are closely monitored and rounded on daily by the cardiac surgeon and the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Delaware RN License or RN License from a compact state.
  • BSN required; or commitment to obtaining within three years of the date of hire.
  • BLS Certification required.
  • ACLS Certification preferred (required within 6 months of hire)
  • One year of experience as a RN is required.
  • RN experience in critical care and or cardiac preferred.

The successful candidate may be eligible for a 10K sign-on bonus to be paid over a period of 12 months.
