Christiana Care Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to work 36 hours per week on the Day Shift (7a-7p) at our Christiana Hospital on the 6A ACE Unit. Weekend and Holidays - per the guidelines of the department.

The successful candidate may be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus to be paid over a period of 12 months.

In this role, we work closely to deliver care that supports older patients facing an acute illness. The patient population, for this unit is older adults, typically age 70 and above. Our focus is maintaining function, providing education, and maintaining safety! As a member of the 6A team you will engage in a true relationship based care model, building relationships with patients and families as well as with your peers, guided by our values of love and excellence.

Our Nurses will assist in managing a team of 5 medical patients per shift and work with the interdisciplinary team that includes a unit based Nurse Practitioner, both an attending and consulted physicians, pharmacy, physical therapy, and other assistive personnel.

General Requirements:

  • BSN required.
  • ADNs candidate are required to commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
  • Qualified applicants will have at least one year experience.
  • Demonstrate a passion for working with the older adults

  • Gerontology Certification preferred

  • BLS required
