Are you a RN that is looking for a challenging role and to be part of a great team?  ChristianaCare is looking for a full-time RN to be part of the Telephone Triage Team! 

This position is located at our Avenue North facility.  The selected candidate will triage calls that covers 9 primary care and specialty practices.  Hours will vary between 7am-6pm, and occasional coverage on Saturdays from 8am-12pm. 

**Shifts will rotate between 7am-3:30pm, 8am-4:30pm, and 9am-6pm.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Assesses callers needs and assists them with issues related to patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Adapts communication style to persons representing diverse personal, professional, cultural, and socio- economic backgrounds.
• Ability to multi-task, simultaneously thinks, talks, and types
• Uses excellent hearing and listening skills to receive detailed information
• Utilizes the computer database to assess, educate, and document all information in an accurate manner
• Refers calls requiring a provider's response and triages as medically necessary.
• Screens and responds to patient phone calls, directing to Clinicians as needed.
• Schedules appointments, based on necessity, by offering the earliest appointment available with each Clinician.
• Schedules urgent visits as appropriate. 
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.
• Adheres to policies/safety practices established by CCHS
• Meets minimum established quality and productivity standards
• Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices;  reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
• Performs other related duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited two year college. BSN preferred. 
• A graduate of a state approved or National League of Nursing accredited training program
• Current unrestricted Delaware RN License. Will also need to obtain a Pennsylvania RN license.
• 3 years of related clinical experience in acute or ambulatory or emergency room area or telehealth preferred.
• Basic PC and keyboarding skill required
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
