ChristianaCare School-Based Health Centers at Baltz Elementary are looking for a Program Manager to join their growing teams.

The School-Based Health Centers (SBHC) is a partnership between ChristianaCare, the School Districts, and the Delaware Division of Public Health. The centers provide health care via a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Advanced Practice Clinicians, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health, and a Registered Nurses.

How You'll Make An Impact

The Program Manager will oversees all operations of the School-Based Health Center specific to program planning and delivery of services to include compliance with regulatory/licensing requirements, human resources, fiscal viability, information services and strategic planning for future growth. The Program Manager will also ensure medical, mental health and dietitian clinical programs adhere to professional standards and guidelines. This position will also provide office based clinical assessment and mental health therapy services for a diverse caseload of patients.  

This is a split position comprising of both leadership and clinical responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities

Leadership Duties:

  • Provides leadership and program management with a primary goal of assuring excellent patient care and satisfaction.

  • Assures that the operations, policies and procedures of the SBHC are current and consistent with ChristianaCare, Joint Commission, CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.

  • Complies with all goal and expectations and deliverables as outlined by the DE Department of Public Health Contract, including meeting and following all State SBHC Regulations.

  • Maintains open communication with the Division of Public Health (DPH)/if funded by DPH, CCHS and school community.

  • Acts as a liaison for patients, families and health professionals.

Behavioral Health Therapist Duties:

  • Conducts individual psychotherapy with assigned patients and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.

  • Conducts psychosocial evaluations to provide diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.

  • Identifies milieu deficits (in the school or SBHC) and assists in implementing appropriate measures to meet needs.

  • Participates in all assigned programs and attends all continuing education opportunities to meet job requirements and maintain current knowledge of the practice of psychotherapy and social work.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor Mental Health (LPCMH), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) required.

  • School-Based Health Center experience strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in mental health setting required
