ChristianaCare's Wilmington Hospital Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a Full Time Senior Medical Assistant to work a day schedule!

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Greets and supports patients within the imaging suite
  • Performs point of care testing, injections, medication administration and EKGs as per practice needs.
  • Able to work in multiple system such as but not limited Sorian, Cerner, RIS, PACs, and DHIN
  • Assist clinician with examinations/procedures
  • Prepares exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment
  • Handles prior authorizations & referrals based on practice needs
  • Schedules tests, procedures, and biopsies as per practice needs.
  • Communicates to patients for scheduling additional exams (patient access)
  • Responsible for communication to physicians in Power Chart
  • Prepares patient charts for radiologist
  • Upload prior outside images to PACs
  • Performs other related duties as required.
     

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High School Graduate or Equivalent

A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or

Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years' experience is preferred


Working Hours:

40Hrs Weekly/80Hrs Bi-Weekly

Day Shift: 8:00AM-4:30PM
