Primary Function:

ChristianaCare is looking for a Full-Time Perioperative Data Analyst performs reporting and analytics using service line and system databases in support of Surgical Services and Women & Children's Service line operational and clinical performance. Their work supports the service line leadership and projects by providing timely and accurate data for strategic decision-making needs. Data analysts with a clinical background may also support service line improvement efforts through clinical insights derived from case reviews.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a functional knowledge of perioperative data sources, including but not limited to Enterprise Analytics Warehouse (EAW) and Cerner reporting tools such as Power Vision, Power Insight, and DA2.
  • Develop a functional knowledge of OB/GYN data sources, including but not limited to OBIS, EAW, and Cerner Maternity
  • Create and/or maintain standard daily, weekly, and monthly reports accurately and on schedule.
  • Create ad hoc reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Develop databases and reports for ongoing initiatives related to department and system strategies.
  • Provide data analysis related to operational and/or clinical outcomes
  • Responsible for production of final product including analytical summaries and graphics.
  • Engage perioperative and OB/GYN leadership and other end users in report development and feedback.
  • Identify data reporting needs of customers and work with Information.
  • Technology and Perioperative data team to resolve/meet those needs.
  • Establish appropriate audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information in compliance with CCHS policy and HIPAA requirements.
  • Maintain required credentials; assume responsibility for ongoing professional growth; exhibit high degree of professionalism and act as a role model for staff and others.
  • Acts as an engaged member of the perioperative team offering expertise and support to foster teamwork and facilitate success.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related, Finance, Business, or IT field required
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
