ChristianaCare has an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to develop and lead a program that has the potential to evolve into a Director role. We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead, support and monitor the Supplier Diversity Program. This role will promote and advocate policy, the procurement process, and operational change that enables a successful program for full inclusion of diverse suppliers through collaboration with stakeholders with purchasing decision making authority.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategically plans, directs and develops a Supplier Diversity program.

Establishes guidelines for diverse suppliers' certification requirements. Works with and educates diverse suppliers on acquiring certifications.

Identifies new diverse suppliers.

Represents ChristianaCare in local chambers and other supplier groups. Takes on an active role in these organizations and events.

Together with the analytics team, develops dashboards and KPI's to track the success of the program.

Builds an effective working relationship between all departments that have purchasing decision making authority.

In collaboration with the Sourcing team, implements new policies in the RFP process for inclusion of diverse suppliers.

Works with and educates diverse suppliers on RFP process and how to do business with ChristianaCare.

Continually works with our diverse suppliers when they are not awarded contracts on how to be more competitive for future opportunities.

Develops reporting requirements for 2nd tier suppliers with all vendors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management required with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience with resource talent assessment and development.
  • 5-7 years' experience in hospital operations
