ChristianaCare's Center for Wellbeing is looking for a Senior Research Associate to lead the research agenda of CWW (Center for Wellbeing) programs and interventions, including conceiving of new research projects and improvement of existing and planned.

  • Masters required, PhD preferred, in a social sciences-oriented research field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of research experience in a health care or academic environment (public health, education, occupational health, biostats, I/O psychology).

  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistical methods and analysis software, such as R, Stata, SAS, or SPSS. Knowledge of and experience with repeated measures and mixed effects models is preferred.

  • Experience with and interest in ethnographic research methods and qualitative data analysis.

  • Skill in the academic publication process and interest in participating in the development and publication of papers, including attention to authorship, individual contributions, ethics, research quality, and impact factor.


  • Conduct robust programmatic evaluation and maintaining repository of wellbeing metrics

  • Prepare oral and poster presentations, grant applications, manuscripts

  • Consult on organization-wide surveys relevant to wellbeing

  • Develop and manage research projects: plans, coordinates, and is accountable for major research activities including protocol development, IRB compliance and dissemination of results

  • Foster and spearhead collaboration with internal and external partners to work on research projects and evaluations (e.g., multi-site research)

  • Prepare proposals and grants for federal and private funding organizations

  • Mentor clinicians, wellbeing champions, and student interns in their own wellbeing-related research

  • Establish CWW as an international thought-leader in caregiver wellbeing by communicating the results and impact of the Center's work via participation in professional meetings and publication of research results in peer-reviewed publications, white papers, and reports and by conducting and publishing systematic reviews and meta-analyses.

  • Engage in business development activities, identifying opportunities and strategic partnerships, cultivating relationships with existing and potential collaborators, and writing proposals

  • Lead a center-wide journal club to keep the CWW team up to date on the latest and most important literature in the field.

  • Assist with future development of the interface between data storage and applicable dashboards.
