ChristianaCare is looking for a Full- Time Senior Social Worker to join our dynamic and collaborative team in our Newark location.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To work as a team member of an ambulatory behavioral health practice. To assist patients and families to identify health, social, emotional, and environmental needs and to connect them with available resources/ services through the provision of a full spectrum of longitudinal health and social work services.
Hours- Monday- Friday. No weekends, No On-Call.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SCOPE, PURPOSE, AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS:
DIRECTION/SUPERVISION OF OTHERS:
May supervise one student at a given time.
DIRECTION/SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Reports directly to Practice Manager
Works closely with team of clinicians; Psychiatry, Psychology and Therapists
Attends team meetings to review cases
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience preferred.
Delaware Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of specialty area including understanding of disease and treatment process and effect of illness on specialty patient population.
Knowledge of the insurance, state, and federal regulations specific to the specialty population which they serve.
Knowledge of resources specific to the needs of the specialty population with which they work.
Knowledge of Social Work Theory and understanding and acceptance of Social Work Code of Ethics.
Knowledge and use of Christiana Care core values: caring, excellence, integrity, leadership, service, teamwork.
Knowledge of Crises Intervention Theory.
Knowledge of Human Behavior and Developmental/Life Cycle Theory.
Knowledge of community resources, state and federal programs.
Knowledge of individual group and family therapy.
Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Ability to learn and understand medical terminology.
Ability to organize and prioritize (sometimes very heavy) work assignments.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, if necessary.
Ability to maintain flexibility and emotional stability while working under intense emotional, time and volume pressure.
