About This Position

ChristianaCare has an exciting opportunity to join the Talent Optimization and Planning team as a Senior Succession Planning Partner! This opportunity is perfect for an individual who seeks to shape talent through identification, competency assessments, coaching, and development planning for ChristianaCare.

With a focus on providing a differentiated people experience, the Senior Succession Planning Partner will participate in the implementation of next-level talent strategies by providing extensive internal client consultation and supporting change leadership efforts.


Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred or in progress, preferably in Industrial/Organizational psychology or related field). A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in HR as well as a minimum of 3 years in a training/development, coaching or related experience required. It is preferred that candidates hold a Coaching certification as well as Hogan Assessment Certification, but it is not required.

Some Responsibilities Include....

  • Coordinate the systemwide talent identification process, including departmental talent review meetings.
  • Conduct individual leadership, career, and talent assessments as appropriate using a variety of tools.
  • Manage the succession planning tracking processes
  • Provide coaching and support to key leaders in the creation of success profiles, talent cards, and robust development plans that meet succession and development needs.
  • Manage ongoing processes which continuously enhance the knowledge and capability of key talent to effectively lead the organization toward achievement of strategic initiatives.
  • Manage a process which focuses on building bench strength to meet current and future business needs.
  • Identify and partner with iLEAD to develop company-wide or individual learning initiatives that cost-effectively focus employee development towards achievement of both business and personal career goals.
  • Coach and assist managers and staff in the areas of professional development, leadership development and change management e.g. as a component of career progression and succession planning.
