Our organization needs an experienced UX/UI Designer who is artistically creative and innovative, with a passion for making delightful products that help users thrive! Using your eye for visual design, your understanding of the psychology of human-computer interaction, and your strong creative and technical skills, you will be designing and building user interfaces for a variety of exciting products.

Our portfolio is a combination of web and mobile applications, VR & AR experiences, wearables, devices, and much more. As a UX/UI Designer in the Innovation Center, you will work as part of a development team alongside product managers and software development engineers to bring a superior competitive experience to our products in a way that earns the complete trust and respect of our users and all who come to know us.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design creative solutions quickly and be able to collaborate with others in crafting and implementing your vision, leading design projects across the entire product lifecycle and multiple product launches
• Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, backed by the know-how of journey mapping, persona development, user stories, sketching, and wireframing
• Create and work with sophisticated design systems that encompass all aspects of branding, UX, and visual design, including ADA color palettes, typographic scales, modular UX components, design libraries, and user narratives
• Design and write code for applications that are scalable to high-volume production quality
• Support a collaborative environment between cross-functional development team members, including architecture, analysis, product management, and engineering
• Take a broad approach to design with a passion for design systems, the latest standard methodologies, as well as clean, modern, and elevated design
• Advance human-centered design practices such as brainstorming exercises, rapid prototyping, empathy mapping, usability testing, user needs analysis, and proof of concept demonstrations
• Maintain close relationships with fellow development team members, ensuring excellence of execution, the fidelity of designs, and coherence to brand standards
• Provide design thinking and leadership to develop the right product strategy for the organization and produce UX storytelling to communicate that strategy broadly, demonstrating personal observations/user research to validate
• Teach, train, and mentor others on the latest methodologies, including Human Centered Design, Lean UX, and Agile Methodologies
• Understand business goals and how to meet user expectations and customer journeys within technical capabilities
• Other duties as assigned or requested

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Empathetic, curious, and open-minded with a desire to improve the lives of our users; passion for educating team members on the value of design
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Centered Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or other related fields; graduate work in Business Administration or a related field is desirable
• Five+ years of visual design experience
• Three years of experience using front-end web programming languages/tools, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, & WordPress
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
• Knowledge of Usability and Accessibility Standards and how they apply to design
• Three years of experience using human-centered design strategies, design thinking methodologies, and usability/user testing approaches
• Three years of strong facilitation, collaboration, and consensus-building skills, with experience in presenting to cross-functional teams
• Excellent understanding of development concepts and SDLC methodologies, with experience collaborating within an agile environment
• Strong user focus and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
• A portfolio demonstrating applied knowledge of usability, user-centered design, storytelling, and content strategy

Special Requirements:

• Some travel required
• Must be willing to get certified in Usability, Foresight, Scrum, and ITIL within the first 12 months of employment
