We are seeking a Service Assistant III responsible for the food service operation on the patient care areas. Serves therapeutically correct trays to patients, processes diet orders, collects patient menu selections, adjusts patient menus in accordance with patient's diet order and the diet reference manual, processes menu for tray line and demonstrates outstanding customer service.
Casual position will be every other weekend with one day during the week commitment. Primarily 4:30-8:15pm working a minimum of 8 hours a week.
Position is not benefits eligible.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduation or its equivalent
Six months food service experience preferred
ServSafe certificate preferred
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of modified diets, calorie counts, and fluid restrictions
Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures
Ability to read and interpret diet order and menu selection
Ability to perform fundamental arithmetic computations
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to exercise judgment and tact
Skill in interpersonal relations and customer satisfaction
Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer services and service recovery techniques
Ability to use the computer to obtain messages and meal/nourishment reports
Ability to use, and carry, iPad to collect patient menus
