We are seeking a part-time Service Assistant I to work in our Cafeteria greeting patients, visitors, customers, and co-workers with a smile and pleasant manner.

Hours will vary between 5:30am-7:45pm, includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrates patient/customer "comes first" attitude.  Greets patients, visitors, customers, and co-workers with a smile and pleasant manner.  Displays good customer service skills at all times.

Demonstrates understanding and executes CCHS Core Values - Excellence and Love and Behaviors in Action.  Must demonstrate teamwork and integrity in each task.

Ensures foods are served and stored at proper temperatures.

                       

Demonstrates appropriate infection control procedures; maintains proper food temperatures, dates and labels food products, rotates stock, wears gloves and protective clothing as required.

Demonstrates appropriate sanitation practices; uses chemicals according to intended use and portion amounts, follows proper pot washing and mopping procedures, maintains clean work area, removes trash in a timely manner, uses can liners, disposes cardboard boxes to appropriate disposal area.

Complies with Christiana Care and department sanitation/safety responsibilities in the performance of all job assignments in accordance with Federal and State Health Codes, JCAHO and OSHA standards and requirements.

Education and experience requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent

Two years food service experience preferred.
