The Concord, PA Primary Care practice is looking for a Senior Office Assistant to join their team!

This position is the first point of contact between the practice and the patient and is responsible for creating a friendly, welcoming, calm and efficient environment for the Physician Office. The Caregiver serves patients with poise and compassion, fields phone calls, answers patient questions, schedules appointments, registers patients, updates the patient record, and represents the entire practice every time there is interaction with a patient. In addition, the Senior Office Assistant assists with the training of Office Assistants and provides guidance regarding workflow questions, procedural guidelines and practice operations.

The front desk at Concord supports Primary Care as well as centralized reception for the entire Concord Health Center. The office is open 6 days a week and offers evening and early morning appointments to accommodate patient access.

The Sr. Office Assistant responsibilities include patient check-in & registration for:

  • Primary Care

  • Endocrinology

  • Urology

  • Sports Medicine

  • Lifestyle Medicine

  • Breast Surgeon

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering phones, checking and acting upon fax and mail

  • Monitoring and responding to patient portal messages and direct book scheduling requests

  • Authorizations and Referrals

  • Scanning

  • Pre-visit Covid screening

  • Virtual visit prep for phone, video and AWV visits

  • Patient outreach calls for AWVs, cancer screening and diabetes care gap closures

Office Hours:

  • Monday 8AM - 7PM

  • Tuesday 8AM - 5 PM

  • Wednesday 8AM - 7PM

  • Thursday 8AM - 5PM

  • Friday 8AM - 5PM

We have Saturday office hours the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month and work hours are scheduled on a rotational basis. Also, we work one late evening per week.

Education and experience requirements:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent

  • 2 years' experience in a medical office practice setting is required; 3 years' experience is preferred
