PRIMARY FUNCTION: A member of the health care team and Nursing Professional Excellence who provides support of system activities, Magnet® program work, and supports ChristianaCare's Department of Nursing and department strategic goals.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages Magnet written standards completion dashboard for redesignation in partnership with internal and external content experts.
  • Maintains accurate, detailed repository of all Magnet content examples, evidence, and reference materials.
  • Facilitates and monitors the onboarding and orientation of Magnet Ambassadors in acute, ambulatory and community care to ensure integration to the role on both unit/area and systemwide levels.
  • Coordinates and tracks all department Accounts Payable functions, including, but not limited to: check requests, travel expenses, coordinates related arrangements, purchase orders and when appropriate contract vendor renewals.
  • Coordinates ongoing interprofessional workshops with content experts as part of the organizational framework of Relationship-based Care.
  • Collaborates with interprofessional teams, leaders, stakeholders, and others to facilitate excellence and positive outcomes through assistance on special projects.
  • Partners with Nursing Professional Governance Councils at the system wide level to meet needs in effecting change and generating positive outcomes.
  • Utilizes Resource scheduler to schedule meetings and make room reservations for department, Nursing Value Council, Nursing Assembly, Magnet Masters, Magnet Ambassador Retreats, Magnet Writing Workshops, and Magnet Steer.
  • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors
  • Performs other related duties as required

  • Regular contact with staff, physicians, patients, families
  • Frequent contact with unit, departmental and senior level leadership
  • Frequent contact with vendors and general public
  • Occasional contact with community agencies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma required. Associate's degree office administration or education related field preferred. Six year's progressive responsible administrative support and office administration experience.

  • Knowledge of Magnet®, Joint Commission, OSHA and other legal standards

  • Knowledge and application of adult learning principles

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Proficient in full Microsoft Office 365 suite and survey assessment tools
