ChristianaCare is looking for a Staff Assistant VIII to join the surgery administration team in Newark, DE!

How You'll Make An Impact

 You would provide administrative and programmatic support to multiple leaders on the Surgery senior leadership (Corporate Director, Campus Chiefs-Surgical Services; Wilmington, Newark, and Union) team across all 3 campuses to maximize their effectiveness and efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact for internal and external interactions.

  • Position requires an independent thinker and leader who can function effectively in a rapidly growing and changing environment.

  • The ideal candidate will have should strong attention to detail, a passion for service, and highly effective communications

  • Provide departmental coordination activities including, but not limited to scheduling, team workforce management and administration. 

  • Works as a team member with other caregivers to provide effective coverage for other senior leaders in the department as the need arises.

  • Anticipates leader's needs and helps ensure leader is prepared for daily activities.

  •  Creates and maintains any necessary collaboration sites and updates to other Medical Group MS Teams collaboration sites.

  • Communicates between all levels within the Medical Group and other departments, utilizing both written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to prioritize workload independently, working within established procedures or protocols.

  • Ability to complete all administrative duties accurately and efficiently.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a bachelors or associates degree preferred. 

  • Four years progressively responsible administrative support to an administrator or manager.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted but must include at least two years of appropriate experience.
