PRIMARY FUNCTION:

We are looking for a Systems Analyst to develop solutions to analyze, evaluate and solve problems in support of ChristianaCare data and analytics capabilities using various vendor applications including, but not limited to:  Health Catalyst applications, Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) and HealtheIntent with a focus on data quality. Working with the business, develops requirements, specifications and testing criteria.  Acts as an internal consultant in various aspects of healthcare operations. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Analyzes health care and data management processes to understand its impact on data quality.
  • Recommends and designs utilities and processes to routinely assess data quality, and timely detect anomalies.
  • Evaluates and prioritizes existing data quality issues.  Recommends data quality mitigations. 
  • Develop workflows and processes to efficiently operate and monitor data acquisition and integration processes.
  • Obtain understanding and document business need.  Recommend process, workflow and system design specifics and gain agreement of business and technical stakeholders.  
  • Contribute to the development and measurement of Christiana Care data and analytics strategy
  • Participate in data and analytics solution testing as assigned.
  • Analyze other data and analytics needs as assigned, recommending solutions and gaining stakeholder acceptance.
  • Participate on user project teams, conduct additional training, and clarify procedures to confirm full user satisfaction.
  • Apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to drive business decision-making.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with Data Warehouse techniques and tools.
  • Experience with reporting and analysis tools and the overall user experience.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in Information Technology, Clinical Information systems and/or Business Intelligence.
  • Highly relevant experience and technical proficiency may be substituted. 

                   

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Data warehousing, ETL, and SQL skills
  • Strong process and detail orientation.
  • Proficiency with Health Catalyst tools a plus.
  • Excellent collaboration, organization and analytic abilities.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software packages that include Word, Access, Excel, Visio, Outlook and PowerPoint. SharePoint knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Working knowledge of BI reporting and analysis tools
  • Knowledge of  HIPAA privacy and information security requirements.
