Our Telecommunications team at ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Analyst to join their award-winning team of designers, developers and user experience experts!  As the Telecommunications Analyst, you  will provide first level support to maintain or upgrade the existing Telecommunications systems, including PBX, Voice Mail, Contact Center, IVR, Cable Plant and wireless IP phones while supporting and providing technical guidance to the Field Staff.


  • Recommends solutions as appropriate to resolve complex Telecommunications service request.

  • Analyzes system traffic reports as requested by management, including operator statistics, voice mail, ACD, trunk, and PBX load balance.  Make necessary modifications based on analysis.

  • Coordinates the installation of Telecommunications Systems at all satellite locations.

  • Investigates and resolves all escalated telecommunications system repair requests with external vendors or internal staff as appropriate.

  • Conducts site surveys for all new projects to estimate equipment required and labor time.

  • Oversees the maintenance of all Telecommunications and Ancillary Systems via established industry guidelines for optimum operating efficiency.

  • Participates in construction and renovation projects involving multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Performs analysis of Voice Messaging Systems, which includes a monthly report on traffic and effective utilization.

  •  Oversees the weekly work efforts of the contracted vendor technical staff.

  • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.  Reports to Manager, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • Must be available to receive calls or work after hours or on weekends for support related issues.


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a high volume and complex Telecommunications organization with 5 years' experience of Voice Messaging applications.  

  • Demonstrated Experience in PBX Recovery Procedures under full operating conditions.


  • Knowledge of the following:  PBX Network Designs, current Voice Messaging Systems applications and maintenance, Wireless Telephony applications and design, High-Volume Call Center design and applications, Computer-Telephone integration,  Transmission Technologies (Analog, Digital).

  • Ability to develop, maintain and implement Disaster Recovery Procedures; delegate appropriate assignments to Field Staff and external Vendors, utilize PC applications i.e., Excel, Word, Microsoft Projects, Visio, Power Point, etc., interpret System Error, Load Balance and Traffic Utilization Reports, document requirements in project meeting to turn into actionable work items.

  • Basic knowledge of IP networks.
