  • Collaborative team-based workflow, with inpatient team consisting of 10+ attending neurologists (including neurohospitalists and vascular neurologists) and 10+ experienced advanced practice providers, as well as separate 15+ provider neurocritical care team
  • Robust neurointerventional surgery, neurosurgery and cardiology subspecialty services for multidisciplinary complex stroke care
  • Distinct outpatient general and subspecialty neurology outpatient practice with 20+ providers including nurse navigators
  • Work within large nonprofit health care system dedicated to patient outcomes and improving population health, with extensive outpatient primary care and multi specialty provider practices
  • Multiple non-neurology physician residencies and medical student teaching opportunities

Job Responsibilities

  • 7 days on/7 days off, 7pm - 7am remote work, with expectation to work 24 weeks annually
  • Telehealth video coverage of acute stroke treatment in both emergency department and inpatient settings across ChristianaCare's four acute care facilities
  • Remote overnight coverage of 29-bed inpatient stroke unit and neurology consultative service
  • Collaborate with in-person emergency medicine and hospitalist teams during neurological emergencies
  • No required day time or off-week clinical or administrative duties

Position Qualifications

  • BE/BC Neurology
  • BE/BC Vascular Neurology preferred (but not required with prior acute stroke treatment expertise or recent neurology residency)
  • Ability to be licensed in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania and meet ChristianaCare credentialing requirements
  • Reliable, high-speed high-bandwidth internet and phone access with real-time video conferencing capacity
