Registered Nurse Coordinator - Radiation Oncology
Job Description
ChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse Coordinator to join our Radiation Oncology team at our Broomall, PA location. This role is ideal for an experienced oncology nurse who is comfortable working independently and managing patient care with a high degree of autonomy. As the primary nurse at the Broomall site, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate care across multiple disciplines while serving as a key resource for patients, providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage care for radiation oncology patients throughout treatment.
- Perform patient assessments, patient education, symptom management, and triage.
- Coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, radiation therapists, social workers, dietitians, navigators, medical/surgical/GYN Oncology and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with providers and support staff to facilitate timely referrals, follow-up care, and ongoing treatment planning.
- Function independently as the primary nursing resource at the Broomall site.
- Support quality, safety, and regulatory standards within the Radiation Oncology practice.
- Provide cross-coverage at the Concord Health Center as operational needs require.
Schedule
- Full-time, 80 hours biweekly
- Day shift, no rotation
- Flexible hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
- No holidays
- Weekends-not typical but per department guidelines
Education and Experience Requirements
- BSN required
- Three or more years of combined clinical experience; oncology nursing experience preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Special Requirements
- Multi-State RN License required
- BLS certification required
- Oncology certification preferred, or completion of oncology-specific contact hours as required by Commission on Cancer standards
